Henry Williams was born about 1651 in In North Farnham Parish, Old Rappahannock County. His parents are unknown. Henry married first to Sarah Black, daughter of William Black. In January of 1681 Henry and Sarah sold 97 acres that had been patented by her father in 1668 to Richard Bayllis for 3,000 pounds of tobacco. Sarah died soon after and she and Henry had no children.
Henry remarried to a woman named Lettice, last name unknown, and they went on to have five children. According to Richmond County order books Henry was named Constable on June 2nd, 1697. He took over the precinct of William Woodbrige and the following year he was succeeded by John Rankin.
Henry wrote his will on January 25th, 1704. He mentioned his wife Lettice and left her a horse. He left cows and calves to his daughter Mary, wife of Phillip Harris. He also left cows to a daughter of Mary and Phillip. Henry left all of his land to his son John as well as a supply of lumber and nails and a horse. John was also given one slave. Henry left to his son Thomas, two horses and all of the cattle and hogs kept at his "other plantation." Henry also left a slave to daughter Sarah and a horse to daughter Jane.
Henry's will was proven on March 1st, 1704.
