Bond by Thomas F. Lewis and witnessed by Darius G. Cralle. They went on to have at least four children.
The 1850 census shows their family living in Farnham Parish, Richmond County. Jeremiah's age is given as 45, he works as a carpenter and his estate is valued at $250. Ann's age is listed as 44. They are both marked as being unable to read or write. Three children are also listed; Richard, 13, Ann, 10, and Mary, 8.
The family's farm appeared on the 1850 agriculture schedule. They own 90 acres, with 20 acres being improved. The property was valued at $200 and no tools or machinery were assessed. Livestock included one milk cow and five pigs. Livestock was valued at $28.
Jeremiah died early in the year 1860 and does not appear in the census. His exact burial location in unknown. Oswald Fallin, a great-grandson told that Jeremiah suffered so much from arthritis that he was unable to be fit into a coffin and was buried in the swamp on the line between Richmond and Northumberland Counties.
