Anne Osborne
Anne Osborne >> Sarah Offley >> Elizabeth Thorowgood >> Sarah Michael >> Sarah Yeardley >> Sarah Powell >> Elizabeth Haggoman >> Elizabeth Jacob >> Arthur Barnes >> James Barnes >> Susan Barnes >> Eddie Barnes >> Thelma Barnes >> Frances Franklin >> Mark DameronAnne married Robert Offley on February 3rd, 1588/9 St. Dionis Backchurch. Robert and Anne had at least fourteen children, though many did not live to adulthood.
Robert was employed in the same trade business as Anne's father and was a member of the 'Merchants of the Levant trading to Turkey and Venice'. In 1618 he was a member of the Virginia Company and invested £112. He was named Deputy to the General Court, May 22nd, 1622, by King James I. Robert died before May 16th, 1625, on that date his body was buried at St. Benet Gracechurch, London - which was also burnt in the Great Fire.
Anne wrote a will on March 11th, 1650, which was proved at Westminster on February 13th, 1654. Anne was buried at St. Augustine's Church, Watling Street, London, on January 14th, 1654. St. Augustine's was also destroyed in 1666. The rebuilt church stood until WWII, when the main structure was damaged by German bombing. The bell tower remained standing and was incorporated into St Paul's Cathedral Choir School, which now sits on the site of the old church.
