Charles Fallin III was born about 1720 in Northumberland County to Charles Fallin II and Hannah Harcum.
Charles married Sarah Hobson, daughter of William Hobson and Judith Fleet. They had at least six children.
Charles wrote a will on February 1st, 1773 and it was proven in Northumberland County court on October 11th, 1773.
Wife-the use of a parcel of land during her life beginning at the mouth of a branch in "Popes Swamp," running up the said branch in the old pasture to a spring commonly called "Judah Spring," thence along an old line formerly between Charles Fallin and the land he purchased of George Boyd, thence running a west course to an oak formerly a corner tree, thence the same course to the first branch making into the said Island branch, and down that water course to the Island branch to join the line of James Gordon, thence south to a red oak corner tree dividing the land of John Kirk and William Linkhour and Charles Fallin, thence a South course to strike the line of said Kirk and Fallin, thence a southerly course between the said Kirk and Fallin to "Popes Swamp," and down the water course of the swamp to the beginning, and at her death to my son John Hobson Fallin.
Remainder of my land to my wife during her life, and at her death to go to my son William Fallin and his heirs.
Daughter Frances Lamkin-during her life negroes Isaac, Manuel, Sinar, and all Sinar's increase, and at her death to be equally divided between my three grandsons George, Charles, and Matthew Lamkin.
Daughter Sarah Fallin-negro girl Milly, with her increase.
Daughter Elizabeth Fallin-negro girl Rose, and her increase.
Son Charles Fallin-four negroes Daniel, Lucey, Jesse, and Pleasant, a good feather bed and furniture, six silver spoons, pair of tea tongs, and my old long gun.
Rest of my estate to wife during her life, and at her death to be equally divided between my son William Fallin, John H. Fallin, Sarah Fallin, and Elizabeth Fallin, and my son William to have first choice.
Wife and executors may sell what part of my estate they please for the maintenance of my family.
After death of my wife, my brother in law John Downing, and my sister Hannah Downing, to choose guardians for my two children Sarah, and Eliza Fallin. My corn, meat, and apparel, not be appraised.
In case any of my children die without heir, I debar my daughter Frances Lamkin from coming in as an heir to any part of their estate.
Son Charles Fallin-to have his part immediately after my death, and he not to be chargeable with any part of my debts.
Daughter Frances Lamkin-not to be chargeable with any part of my debts.
If my daughters Sarah and Eliza Fallin should loose their legacy by death or otherwise, that loss shall be made up equal to the other daughters.
