Judith Davenport

William wrote a will on August 27th, 1726 and it was recorded less than a month later on September 14th. He gave the use of his estate to Judith for to take care of their children and bring them up with good educations. He left certain items including slaves to his children and step-daughter Katherine from Judith's first marriage. After William's death an inventory was made of his estate that returned a value of nearly £1,000 including slaves and livestock at his main plantation as well as at a quarter farm.

Judith did not remarry and lived until sometime shortly after March 29th, 1747 when she wrote her will. In her will she named her daughter Judith Ball and grand-daughter Judith Ball as well as her sons. She asked that her estate not be appraised. Her will was proven September 9th, 1748. Soon after her death the estate of her husband was divided their children, not including Susannah who had predeceased her mother.

Judith Sydnor is an ancestor of Mark Dameron through his her William and an ancestor of Maida George through her daughter Judith.
