Sir Reginald Scott was Sheriff of Kent and Captain of the castles of Calais and Sangatte.
Reginald married first to Emeline Kempe. They married before 1537 and had three children before her death in 1541.
Reginald married secondly to Mary Tuke, daughter of Bryan Tuke and Grissell Broughton. Reginald and Mary were married before 1542. They had nine children including a daughter named Mary who married Lawrence Washington, a great uncle of US President George Washington.
Reginald served as Sheriff of Kent in 1541 and Captain of the castles of Calais and Sangatte.
Sir Reginald Scott died December 16th, 1554, and was buried in Brabourne, Kent. He left a will dated September 4th 1554, that was proven on February 13th, 1555.
