He served King's Henry VII and Henry VIII in many positions.
It is believed that Henry threw support behind Henry Tudor's claim to crown in 1483 and that he participated in the unsuccessful Buckingham's Rebellion against King Richard III. He was imprisoned and tortured in Scotland for his role in the rebellion until King Henry VII loaned him money to pay off his ransom and freed him in 1485. Henry Wyatt was granted a position and keeper of Norwich Castle on October 11th, 1485 by the new king. Other positions under Henry VII included Clerk of the King's Jewels, Captain of Carlisle Castle, and membership on the privy council. He was the executor of the will of Henry VII and named as guardian of Henry VIII.
In 1492 Henry purchased Allington Castle in Kent and made it his primary residence. He was visited there by King Henry VIII and was neighbors with Sir Thomas Boleyn, father of future Queen, Anne Boleyn. Henry married Anne Skinner about 1502 and had three children.
Under King Henry VIII he was knighted on July 23rd, 1509. He was named to the new king's privy council, made constable of Norwich Castle, and granted the estate of Maidencote in Berkshire. He was with the King at the Battle of Spurs in France on August 16th, 1513. He arranged meetings for the King with King Francis I of France and King Charles V of Austria. He was the Treasurer of the King's Chamber from 1524 to 1528.
Henry died on November 10th, 1537 and was buried at Milton near Gravesend.
